It's that time again. This year will have more of a focus on combat sports with the inclusion of cage fighters to the usual PW wrestlers and outside wrestlers. Below is all the information you need to get you going for the tournament. All Phoenix wrestlers are automatically entered. If you wish to opt out, please PM or DM me and I will remove you from the brackets.
THE FORMAT
For this year we're going for a competitive-angled hybrid, similar to the press conferences seen in Caged Glory Fighting Championships and MLC. Fighters will post their press conference in the designated thread, and essentially whoever has the better press conference will win. I want this tournament to accommodate as many handlers as possible, and I find the PC format to be the best for that.
THE STAKES
In addition to winning the Iron King Tournament and $100,000, the winner will also be crowned the very first Iron King Champion. This is a championship belt that will be defended strictly under unified MMA rules. Much like Iron King, it will have an 'open challenge' aspect to it where fighters from other organizations can come in and challenge for it.

NAME Sandy Makel PICTURE  HEIGHT 6'1" WEIGHT 226lbs HOMETOWN Atlantic City, NJ THEME "Animal Style" by Biffy Clyro FIGHT TEAM OR ENTOURAGE Generation Fight MMA (made up something off the top of my head) FIGHTING STYLE Sandy has no official MMA experience, though he's been training with MMA fighters on the side for years to prep for crossover athletes and as such is not overly concerned about making the switch. Will generally lean on his collegiate wrestling background, and will be at his most comfortable with top control looking for G&P. Standing, he'll be moving a lot, switching from orthodox to southpaw at will, and looking mainly to score points with body work and leg kicks, though he does decent work in the clinch if a fight stays inside and he isn't afraid to take a hit in order to land one if he has to. Doesn't have a great submission game offensively, but defends them well. FIVE FAVORITE MOVES Double Leg lift and slam. Leg kicks, both inside and outside. Liver punches. Exploding Off The Back - not feeling comfortable fighting off his back, Chevy uses his power to burst out of his opponent's top game and get back to a vertical base, where he's more comfortable. 3. Double Leg Takedown. 4. Mounted Hammerfists - Doesn't matter if he's in full-guard or half-guard, if Chevy sees the opportunity to drop a heavy hand on your mug, he's gonna take it. 5.
