Since 2008 PW has been a competitive roleplay e-fed. However with the current state of competitive roleplaying dying out, I have decided it best to change to angled format to accommodate myself, my staff, and my roster. Below are the changes to PW, and what is now expected out of every roster member for every show.
This is your way of telling your character's story through the show. While many have become accustomed to PW's staff handling the segment duties, the roster will now have their chance to craft their character perfectly for the show without having to stress about putting out a 2,000 word promo. We request you get at least one segment in per show. More than one would be fine as well, especially if your character is featured throughout the show.
Every roster member featured on the show will be sent an outline of what is expected out of them for their show segment. This is pretty much bullet point as we want the segment to reflect the writer's creativity and dialogue as much as possible. Every roster member at the beginning of a cycle will be notified of their feud and how to go about it.
While it's not a necessity, it is heavily encouraged that you do character development work to show what your character is like outside of the show. It also gives you the opportunity to showcase your story, which will in turn affect your push depending on the amount of work you put in.
All segments MUST follow the formatting guidelines as we want the show to be as uniform as possible. Below is what we expect from the roster when submitting scenes:
(Seth Black is backstage pacing like a tiger. His eyes wide open like he just shotgunned three energy drinks.)
SETH BLACK: I used to be a real prick but now I'm a real prick with authority! Fear me and my plastic surgery face!
(Seth Black yanks away at his Kaitlin Jenner hair and walks away, laughing maniacally to himself.)
For PPV's, use this:
(Johnny Rebel is seen checking out the catering table. Cameras approach him as he shovels a donut down his throat. He turns around to see a a camera on him three inches away.)
JOHNNY REBEL: What I'm twyin' to eheat *chomp*
(Rebel shoves the camera out of his face and grabs a handful of donuts before shuffling away down the hallway.)
So just to confirm, all action must be italicized and in white.
All dialogue must be bold and in white. All names must be in the format above, bold and with orange for Redemptions and purple for PPV's. Please do them in all caps to preserve uniformity.
We aim to streamline PW going forward. Thank you all.
