[HARBINGER OF DEATH]
05:29 PM -- HONOLULU, HAWAII
TAKING IN THE WAVES, HEYYYY!
Sliding into the scene as it opened was a beyond-dusted taxi cab that long-needed a serious washing. The passenger side rear door opened wide with much force before stepping out with one leg was Masaru as he slowly, seemingly showing a sign of wincing pain as he went to stand up fully. That infamous Owl, Olly, was seen riding the ‘perched’ position on his seemingly ‘Master’s’ shoulder. You could hear a girlish scream from inside, presumably the driver of the cab as he pulled off with no hesitation. The force of pound and pull from taking off slammed the door as Maz didn’t even get a chance to close it before it took off. His head adjusted, seeing Tony sit down in a slightly relaxed state before that state was immediately interrupted. Sitting up with a look of awe on Tony’s face, Maz slowly approached.
Bloody. Heavily-bandaged. Not for the faint of hearts.
Wrapped like an Asian Mummy, from chest to torso, the sight of blood apparent albeit dried, uncleaned as it was quite dingy. Covered up by that trademark black trench coat he wore, he sported a sick, cruel smile on his face as stared into the tragic eyes of his ... manager? Tony, was beyond mortified as what he saw, compared from seeing it on-screen when it was all going down. About two weeks past and here his client was, minimal changes in appearances on him as his body looked extremely worse for wear.
“...My god!”
Two words, barely, all that escaped Tony’s mouth as his head shook side to side as he glanced over and over before lowering his head. He quickly looked back up, staring at his client’s face as he threw his hands up in the air.
“You shouldn’t have come here to Hawaii. Should have stayed...wherever it is you reside. You can’t be ready to brawl again, even if it’s a tag-team affair.” Tony said, the heavy trembling in his voice was apparent as he continually shook his head.
“You obviously don’t KNOW me, Tony! Here I thought for a minor second that we were slowly getting to understand each other, but I am obviously wrong. Shame.”
“Bu...”
“There’s no “but’s” in my story, Tony. I’m not taking off. I’m not resting. I’m used to pain. I’m addicted to pain. I like it when I hurt. It’s a very, very satisfying feeling.” He said, leaving that chaotic-filled smile on his face.
Tony’s eyes were doing double-duty as he eyed Maz but also that obvious Owl who had now become apart of his client’s circle. The Owl’s eyes making direct contact with Tony as he tried not to stare at it too long. It was like an odd recapturing of the classic movie film, “The Crow”. “The Owl” seemed to be the obvious title of this ‘film’ but that was all up in the air.
“You know, it’s nice to see you show a soft side with that Owl but that Owl is a wild capture, which is beyond illegal to have. Obviously you don’t mind risk and danger but that Owl could harm others, you know...”
Tony spoke but Maz’s focus lied elsewhere at the moment as he looked down at the ground.
“Oh, I’m sorry ... what were you saying?”
A long pause entered as Tony didn’t quickly respond. He just fanned his hands.
“..Nevermind.”
Tony chuckled lightly, enough to keep from Maz noticing as he gazed off again elsewhere. Tony kept glancing back and forth at the owl who kept staring back at him before his head did a complete, freakish swivel to see what was to the side. Tony got up, his hand reaching out as it seemed he oddly wanted to try and ‘pet’ the owl. Masaru stepped back several steps, shaking his head.
“NO TOUCHING OLLY!”
Tony jumped back, falling back to his previous position, sitting on the bench seat.
“He’s not long from a fresh hunting trip! Those small asian mongooses here in Hawaii had no chance against Olly. Fast, yes! Swift, sure! Smart, far from it! Olly wasted no time sinking his teeth into that poor thing.”
Tony shook his head once more, it seemed like a repetitive habit when dealing with a character such as his client, Masaru.
“Seee, that’s what I’m tryin’ to say?! That Owl can dangerous, especially to HUMANS!” Tony said, as he grew slightly excited, being it was what he was trying to get through to Maz earlier.
“Well of course Tony! What do you expect? It’s an Owl. I am a special type, Tony. He reacted differently than I expected. Usually if too close, they will but for me, he was comfortable. I knew from that point, we were one.”
And just like that, Tony’s head dropped. Side to side, down and up, his head and neck was acting like a joystick with all the motions he had done. He just let off a sigh, choosing to remain quiet.
“Well uhm, just maybe you can start leaving Olly somewhere that is not ringside when you’re out there. Thousands of people fill these venues PW showcases at and the last thing we all want is to witness Olly lose his fucking mind and attack some stranger, ‘just because’. So far all has been lucky.”
Maz shook his head, going against that idea.
“NO! Olly is my ‘Watchtower’. He’s essential piece. He’s like an inaudible manager that only HOOTS when danger approaches. ME, MY DEAR RORI AND OOOCHIE-OLLY!"
Tony blinked his eyes several times before coming to the fact that this would not be a battle he will win. He got himself off the bench. Giving his client a salute and the Owl, he began walking off.
“It seems you are fine, you have your decisions made. I have nothing else. I can’t be assed with complaints from ‘future’ victims who were attacked by a mind-tripping Owl. Take care of yourself, dude!”
Walking off with quickness, Tony made his way to his ride before getting in and starting up to which he then pulled off, leaving Masaru to himself along with the Olly the Owl. Maz went to take a seat on the beach as he watched from afar the somewhat calm water as the Sun was slowly taking a dive.

It was yet another interesting cycle. Masaru, a full week and a day or so removed from the care inside of a hospital after being put on a stretcher by his nemesis, Mason Daniels, here he stood, a wide smile on his face, eyes wide as his friend ‘Olly the Owl’ sat still and mysterious on his partner’s shoulder. You could hear the water splish-splash against the rocks that were positioned below Maz.
“Were you expecting Daniels to be standing here?”
Maz lightly giggled, a smile plastered on his face.
“..With an Owl named ‘Molly’ on his shoulder too? Were you expecting that ‘Wire Brush’ to be standing in my place here in Honolulu?”
He shook his head this time as he looked over at the dynamic Owl that was perched quietly on his right shoulder.
“Yes, it’s true, Mason gave me his best at Awakening. He finally found the target zone to put me under but he failed still in the end. He began feeling himself and when he did that, it left the window wide opened for me. I put him in his place. I might have left on a stretcher but damnit, I left with a W. For Mason, there’s that good ole’ moral victory he can take and lord may it help that poor man against Chris Andrew.”
Masaru shot a smirk towards the camera as he reached into his left side inside pocket of his trench coat before slowly pulling out a bottle of Jameson Irish Whiskey. No parts of Irish in his system but that genuine taste plus the fact that in a couple days, the color green would be spread around like vomit ... so this was in a sense, an early go.
“For I, the great opportunity to walk alongside the Queen, Aurora is a delight. That opportunity to combine our specialties and become a force like none other, you can’t beat that. That includes the likes of Tony Tira, and his pal, Forliti. The puns, the un-hilarious jokes you offer are far-stretched. But I must say, when you two said you were scheduled to fight “two women”, I must admit it did hit a rare ‘funny bone’ in me, not for the reasons you may think either.”
Maz smirked once more.
“Just think on it, these two women beating the complete shit out of two stale, Italian wanna-be thugs, it would be an embarrassing aftermath for you two. This is like what one would call ... a “warm-up”. It was back at “Boats N’ Throws”, the plan for myself and Aurora to align together and get back what never should have left her and Conor Blackburn’s shoulders. Those PW Tag Team Titles which now have been rebranded as the Duos Championship. I promised her I’d help her get back what is rightfully hers. You may believe you are the ‘hottest thing since toast bread’, but we have another term that fits better than toast that describes you two so well.”
“Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit on top of shit on top of more shit. You two may enjoy playing games but we don’t play games. After we dispose of you, wareware wa hikitsugu! It will be Faith and Chris Andrew who bodies will then be left hanging from the rafters, dripping of what little amount of blood will be in their systems after we squeeze them to their deaths like an Anaconda.”
He enacted his hands, squeezing what deemed to be an imaginary figure within his hands as the bone looked to pop right out of the pale-colored skin on his knuckles as his hands formed a tight fist, imagining ‘squeezing the life’ out of the subjects.
“Your lives will flash right in front of you. We will show you what disrespect feels like. We will make you regret ever calling us out of our name. You feel you carry an advantage because of this...”
He showcases his bloody bandaged and bruised torso before quickly closing up with the jacket.
“..Or the fact you believe the Queen’s sting is much less potent after the events that unfolded at “The Awakening”. She may have lost the Rebirth Championship to the newly crowned Iron King Winner, Cassius Reed, but she won’t be long without gold around her waist. Those Duos Titles are where our focus lies. I never have broken a promise I have made and the trend will not be broken because you two feel superiorly confident about yourselves. You two will find out just how hot Hell can be!”
He took a step back, motioning with both hands, as if laying out the coveted ‘red carpet’ for the two lost souls that had the unfortunate task of facing him and Aurora.
“Hell is waiting for the both of you. So come, but remove your shoes at the door. No soles allowed. We look forward to having you!”
Masaru turned his head, giving his Owl a slight wink. Backing away slowly, he pivoted on his right and turned as he slowly waltzed away from the camera as all came to a fade.
